Instead of wondering what to do with your children over the half terms and holidays why not send them to Keen Bean Camps. We have a variety of different courses they can take part in depending on their interests and age.

Keen bean camps is a bright and energetic camp with something for all children. With 4 different sessions within their day they get the chance to try something new and develop different skills. We like to help build friendships and belonging within our camps and try very hard to keep our staff consistent to help build the continuity with your children.

Our normal camp day runs from 9:30-3:30 and are jam packed with exciting activity’s and opportunity’s for your child. With morning and lunchtime entertainment put on by our coaches to break up the day and build team spirit the days fly by and they wont want to go home.

Courses

Our courses are broken into age groups to ensure your child has a safe and enjoyable time on camp. This creates a sense of belonging within the camp and helps to keep friendship groups together.

With at least two options per age group your child can do a different course each day keeping things new and exciting or stick to a preferred course to develop their skills.

Listed below are the different courses along with a few activities they can get up to.

Mini Beans

Nursery children aged 3+

Mini Beans is a great introduction to Keen Bean Camps.  It is a fun and safe environment with both structured and child lead activities, kept short and varied. Time in Mini Beans can include inflatable sessions, our pirate ship climbing frame, arts and crafts, nature walks, dance games, introductions to sports, dress up, role play toys and much more.  All of this combined with our enthusiastic, caring, trained staff means they may not want to go home.

Sporty Beans

There just aren’t enough days in the week for your child to do every sporting activity under the sun but we give it a good shot.  In Sporty Beans, no two days are the same.  Catering for three different age groups, our energetic and fun sessions change daily and hourly.  Of course, we have the all-time favourites but there’s also the chance to try lots of new activities too.

We have an inflatable assault course, gladiator rock and roller, bouncy castle, archery, bench ball, pedal go karts, bean bag curling, field games cricket, uni hock and the ever popular dodgeball.  During the summer months, we are delighted to be able to offer more time outdoors and also have use of a swimming pool (individual ability and weather permitting). The list seems endless and with so much on offer, children always want to come back for more.

Designed to ensure age specific sports and activities, Sporty Beans is arranged in three different age groups, Little, Big and Xtreme.  This means your children can enjoy their time with us doing things that are fun, challenging and achievable for their age.  It’s all about building confidence, working in teams and spending time with friends old and new.

Performing Beans

theater

Reception - Year 8

Performing Beans includes all things theatrical.  Following a different theme, stage show or musical each day they are given the space to become someone or something different through singing, dancing and drama activities. In drama sessions they learn lines and work on stage direction whilst trying out different voices and character personas and in our energetic dance and singing sessions, they improve their coordination, timing, voice projection and memory.  We’re sure they will be using their new found talents putting on shows at home for weeks to come.

Arts and crafts sessions bring in other important aspects of the theatre such as props and stage design. After a day in Performing Beans, they could be the next dancing queen or James Bond?

To provide children with age-appropriate sessions such a call and repeat drama for the younger ones and script reading for those that are older, we group Performing Beans by age each day.
